Chamois Hunting

For an unforgettable hunting experience why not test yourself with the challenging French Chamois?

We have secured access to our own mountain area in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.

Unlike the Pyrenees the area is much less mountainous making the stalking more accessible to all, although a certain level of fitness is required as the terrain is still testing.  Our Chamois hunting trips are fully guided from start to finish with a bi-lingual staff available at all times.

As hunting of Chamois is strictly controlled by the Office National des Forets, the size of trophy available reflects on the tags that the foresters have left. Before any deposit we will confirm what the cull limits are and reserve your tags on payment of deposit (50% of final cost).

The area is also home to other big game species such as Mouflon, Wild Boar and Red Deer, which can be included in further hunts if you are successful in taking a Chamois on your first day, alternativley if the tags are available then further Chamois can be taken.

Due to the range of shots that may be required on Chamois hunts it is advised that practice is taken for up to 300 yards, we will also arrange for you to check your rifle’s zero before hunting as the altitude can affect your rifle’s performance.

It is possible to arrange for you to travel with us via the Eurotunnel. It’s approximately a 9 hour drive from Calais to the area we hunt which can be done in a day.

Due to the fact that the carcass and trophy of any animals you take are your property, these have to be brought back with us as they cannot be carried on board a flight back to the UK.

Should you wish to travel with us instead of flying we will create a bespoke package to make your journey relaxed and hassle free.

Transporting your weapon through customs can be a daunting prospect if you have never done it before, but the customs system when travelling through Dover/Calais is very simple and we will guide you through it.
